"Winters On The Ranch Are Cool" (V2) - Doritos Commercial 2016

"Winter's on the ranch are tough, it's not for the faint of hear. When it's time to come in from the cold, well, sometimes, you gotta let the cool in. Cool Ranch Doritos, for the BOLDEST, of men." Life On The Ranch Is Cool. In this single take version, the usual Doritos slapstick comedy is immediately halted as the screen opens with a shadowy rancher eating Doritos. It doesn't get any more simple than that. The sudden draw from slapstick to this "so serious it's funny" commercial just screams for the audience to remember it for decades. Seriously, who wouldn't remember the manliest voice in the world introducing a rancher eating Doritos for dinner. The expertly manipulated wordplay is catchy, even to those who don't understand it, and draws the theme of the commercial into the phrases spoken by the voice of THE man himself. (well, not really, it's a voice actor) So remember, when the winters are rough, sometimes you just have to let the COOL in. Patrick Wine - Demo Reel 2019

For centuries, man has told stories. We're telling the next chapter. Since 1895, cinema has shaped the ways in which we tell stories and entrance audiences around the globe. From the classic masterpieces by Fritz Lang to the modern fairy tales visualized like never before, film has evolved to become a medium saturated with incredible stories and unique visions. Yet, as we look back, it's more apparent than ever. It's our turn to tell the next chapter. From my first experience with the film medium in junior high, I've had an overwhelming love for the ability to immerse audiences into the worlds of my imagination. And while I never attained budgets that would allow me to make my most grand visions come to life, I've created works of art that engulf both those who took part in the production process and those who simply watched. Now, as I work through my senior year at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Cinema Studies and Moving Image Arts department, I look back at my past and only grow more excited as to what the future holds. Pieced together, these sequences represent some of my favorite images I've directed or photographed thus far in my career as a film student. From horror-comedies set in dark gold mines to melodramas sending meaningful messages to the masses, my work has crossed genres and formats to bring stories, both fictional and documentary, to the screen. So sit, back, relax, grab some buttery popcorn, and enjoy this curated collection of my images (both film and photographic). Journey into the unknown. For those who discover are twice rewarded with knowledge.                                   - Patrick Wine ---------------------------------- PROJECTS (IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE) Undermined (2018) Behind The Loop (2020) Blue Marble TV Teaser (2019) Net Worth (2017) Charlie Mike (2018 - DP) AD ASTRA (2016) ------------------------------------ Instagram: @PatrickMWine Facebook: www.facebook.com/patrickwineimages www.patrickwineimages.com -------------------------------------- Song:  "Outro", Composed by M83, SONY/ATV Music Publishing LLC.  2011
